Fairway Friends (formerly S.W.I.N.G) The EWGA Fairway Friends mentoring program offers an opportunity for a new golfer to play golf with a more experienced golfer, to help make that transition from instruction to playing golf. This program is open to all Chapter members, provided you've been through a basic level of golf instruction. ********************************************* We need Mentors! Are you an experienced golfer who knows how to get around the golf course effectively, regardless of your golfing skill? Do you have an understanding of the basic rules (such as where to tee off, how to mark a ball, etc.)? Are you comfortable with pace of play and etiquette on the golf course? If so, you may be a part of helping a new golfer find the fun and enjoyment that golf has brought to you! A mentor is responsible for helping a new golfer get comfortable on the course and learn about basic rules, etiquette, pace of play, and how to participate in EWGA! A mentor can also guide a new golfer on how to play in other EWGA events. ************************************************************************************ Are you a new golfer who would like to make progress in your game? A Fairway Friend mentor will help you get around the golf course safely and can answer your questions about etiquette and basic golf rules to help build your confidence and be comfortable in a golf course setting. Though the mentor is not there to help you with your golf swing, she may help you feel more comfortable playing golf with others on the golf course. ********************************** Interested?
